OpenAI Agents Migrate to Amazon Cloud with Data Never Leaving

OpenAI and Amazon have launched Bedrock Managed Agents, a product that allows companies to build OpenAI agents entirely within Amazon Web Services (AWS). The agents run on AWS resources, with data never leaving the cloud. This collaboration is the result of OpenAI working closely with Amazon from the core of its Agents API.

Bedrock Managed Agents uses OpenAI's own agent framework and manages inference, memory, and skills within the customer's environment. Each agent has its own identity and logs every action for auditing purposes. All inference runs on Amazon Bedrock, ensuring that data remains within AWS.

AWS lists Salesforce as a customer of this new product. Joe Inzerillo, president of enterprise and AI technology at Salesforce, commented: 'Data never leaves AWS, and security stops being the bottleneck between our customers and what comes next.'
