OpenAI Announcements Name Microsoft, Box, Dropbox as Potential Winners
At OpenAI's DevDay event, several companies emerged as potential beneficiaries of the announcements made. RBC Capital Markets analysts highlighted Microsoft (MSFT), Box (BOX), and Dropbox (DBX) as possible winners due to their integration with OpenAI's technologies.
The analysts noted that OpenAI's personal AI agent, Dots, could boost internet traffic and benefit companies like Cloudflare (NET), Fastly (FSLY), and Akamai (AKAM).
Additionally, the integration of Specialist Dots, which have their own identity, credentials, and access, is seen as incrementally bullish for Microsoft given its integration with Microsoft Agent 365.
Codex Security Cloud, another announcement made at DevDay, could put pressure on some areas of the cybersecurity sector. However, vulnerability management vendors emphasized that they do not perform vulnerability discovery but rather prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities.
