OpenAI Enters Office Productivity Market with New Pages App

OpenAI has entered the office productivity software market with its new Pages app, a collaborative document editor for ChatGPT. The announcement puts OpenAI in direct competition with established players like Microsoft, Google, and Notion.

Pages allows users to create, share, and edit documents, as well as store and access files. The app's interface is similar to Notion, with content organized into blocks and the ability to create sub-pages and link to existing pages.

OpenAI also announced that a slides app is in development, which will be available alongside Pages. However, experts warn that displacing entrenched users of Office or Google Workspace will not be easy.
