OpenAI Loses Second Sales Leader in a Week Amid Leadership Shuffle
OpenAI has lost its second sales leader in a week as Kaylin Voss leaves to return to Salesforce, where she was previously employed. Voss had been OpenAI's vice-president of sales for the Americas since January and was building a plan to segment customers into groups based on industry and drive adoption of the company's AI models.
Voss' departure follows that of her former boss Denise Dresser, who left as chief revenue officer after nine months in the role. Both Voss and Dresser came from Salesforce, with Voss previously serving as Slack's chief revenue officer.
To replace Dresser, OpenAI has appointed Dali Rajic as its new chief revenue officer, effective this week. Rajic was president and chief operating officer at cybersecurity company Wiz, which was acquired by Google for $32bn in 2024. He has a background in sales, having worked at AppDynamics and Zscaler before joining Wiz.
Rajic's experience in selling security software is seen as crucial to OpenAI's plans to expand its Daybreak programme, which helps businesses prevent hacks and breaches using AI models. Rajic has a reputation for being relentless and blunt, and his appointment is seen as a coup by some in the industry.
