OpenTable and Visa Expand Dining Partnership Across North America
OpenTable and Visa have extended their partnership across North America, covering the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The renewed multi-year agreement expands the Visa Dining Collection in Mexico and Canada, offering eligible Visa cardholders access to restaurant reservations in major cities like Mexico City, Monterrey, Los Cabos, Cancun, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and Calgary. Notable participating restaurants include Mon Lapin and Rôtisserie La Lune in Montreal, LOREA and Pargot in Mexico City, and KOLI in Monterrey.
Eligible Visa Infinite cardholders worldwide can now book tables and events at participating restaurants in Mexico or Canada, while those visiting the U.S. can access special events. The partnership also extends the events program in the U.S. through 2029. OpenTable highlighted the success of their joint events over the past two years, with over 80 events hosted, most of which sold out. These events included chef collaborations like Friends in Town and after-hours dining experiences such as Off the Clock.
A survey conducted by WALR among 1,527 U.S. respondents between September 3-9, 2025, revealed that 48% of Americans are more likely to dine at a restaurant hosting a pop-up, collaboration, or special experience. Robin Chiang, Chief Growth Officer at OpenTable, expressed excitement about the renewed collaboration, emphasizing the expanded restaurant access and unique experiential dining events.
OpenTable, part of Booking Holdings Inc., collaborates with over 70,000 restaurants globally. This partnership aims to enhance the dining experience for Visa cardholders while supporting participating restaurants through increased visibility and event opportunities.
