OpenTable and Visa expand dining partnership across North America
OpenTable and Visa have renewed their partnership across North America, extending their collaboration to include more dining options in Mexico and Canada. The multi-year agreement expands the Visa Dining Collection in these regions, offering eligible Visa cardholders access to reservations at popular restaurants in cities like Mexico City, Monterrey, Cancun, Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. Notable participating restaurants include Mon Lapin and Rôtisserie La Lune in Montreal, LOREA and Pargot in Mexico City, and KOLI in Monterrey.
Eligible Visa Infinite cardholders traveling to Mexico or Canada can book tables and events at these restaurants, while visitors to the U.S. will gain access to special events. The partnership also extends the events program in the U.S. through 2029, building on the success of past events like Friends in Town and Off the Clock, which featured chef collaborations and after-hours dining experiences.
OpenTable highlighted survey data indicating that 48% of Americans are more likely to dine at restaurants hosting pop-up events or special experiences. The survey was conducted by WALR among 1,527 U.S. respondents between September 3-9, 2025. Robin Chiang, Chief Growth Officer at OpenTable, expressed enthusiasm about the renewed collaboration, emphasizing the expanded dining options and unique experiential events.
OpenTable, part of Booking Holdings Inc., works with over 70,000 restaurants worldwide. The renewed partnership aims to enhance dining experiences for Visa cardholders across North America, combining OpenTable's extensive restaurant network with Visa's financial services.
