Oppenheimer Boosts MSFT Price Target to $570 on Azure Growth Prospects
Microsoft stock is on the move after Oppenheimer analyst Brian Schwartz visited Microsoft's headquarters and came away convinced that the company can keep growing faster while spending capital wisely.
Schwartz raised his price target for MSFT to $570 from a prior $515, maintaining an Outperform rating. He expects both Azure and the commercial side of Microsoft 365 to see significant gains in fiscal 2027, driven by strong Copilot subscription revenue and businesses increasingly relying on Microsoft as their go-to AI provider.
The analyst noted that executives at the meeting steered clear of specifics on the current quarter's performance but described their demeanor as upbeat. They highlighted fresh agentic features, internal fixes addressing AI capacity constraints, and solid customer demand.
