Organisational Friction Trumps Tech as Biggest Cyber Threat: Cisco Report
A recent report by Cisco has revealed that organisational friction is the biggest threat to cybersecurity efforts globally and in India, rather than technological limitations.
The 'Relentless Defense Report' found that 96 per cent of Indian organisations experienced a business-disrupting cyber incident last year, with over one-third involving AI-enhanced attacks.
Despite this, only six in ten security practitioners pointed to organisational capabilities as the biggest blocker, rather than technology.
The report also noted that while most practitioners reported detection and response gains of at least 25 per cent from AI, fewer than half of organisations have extensively deployed AI-powered security capabilities due to concerns over data exposure and compromised systems.
