Orlando Theme Parks Close Early, Leaving Guests Frustrated
Several theme parks in Orlando have announced early closures today, leaving guests with less time to enjoy their day. Magic Kingdom and Disney's Animal Kingdom will close at 6:00 p.m., while Universal's Epic Universe has already shut its gates due to a private event. Meanwhile, Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure will close at 7:00 p.m.
The early closures are causing frustration among guests who have paid for regular theme park tickets. For those attending Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, the party itself starts at 7:00 p.m., but regular daytime guests must leave Magic Kingdom by 6:00 p.m. Animal Kingdom also has a shortened day with no separately ticketed event to explain the closure.
Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure are closing early even without Halloween Horror Nights, which is typically a reason for Universal to close these parks at 5:00 p.m. The closures have left some guests feeling shortchanged, especially considering the cost of theme park tickets.
