Otokar's TULPAR tracked armoured vehicle has been offered to Brazil as part of the country's tender for infantry fighting vehicles and light tanks. The offer, made by Turkish defence company Otokar, includes a Caterpillar C13 series diesel engine rated at 720 horsepower.

This powerpack is ITAR-free, meaning it does not fall under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, which are important for Brazil to ensure smooth logistics and local production of the armoured vehicle. This is seen as an advantage over Western submissions, which often come with export restrictions.
