Israeli venture capital fund OurCrowd has made its most profitable exit to date from the sale of BioCatch, a cybersecurity company that was acquired by Visa. According to estimates, OurCrowd received around $200 million in cash from the sale of shares in various rounds, with about $100 million coming from this week's sale.

OurCrowd had invested in BioCatch since 2015 and maintained a close relationship with the company. The fund's unique business model allows it to bring together thousands of qualified investors for fundraising rounds when opportunities arise.

The acquisition of BioCatch by Visa reflects a significant increase in valuation for the Israeli company, from $1.3 billion in 2024 to $2.4 billion this week. This makes it one of Permira's fastest and most successful exits in Israel.
