Outlook for the Web Gains Multi-Account Search Capability
Microsoft is upgrading its Outlook for the web service to include a feature allowing users to search multiple email accounts simultaneously. This change aims to simplify the process of searching for emails across multiple inboxes, which can be especially useful for those with multiple work or personal accounts.
The new multi-account search feature will allow users to see results from all their connected mailboxes interwoven in a single ranked list. Users will also be able to perform standard mail actions such as deleting, replying, and forwarding emails directly from the search results.
This update is part of Microsoft's ongoing efforts to improve user experience in its Outlook service. The new feature is expected to roll out next month, with a tentative start date of October 2026, according to the Microsoft 365 roadmap.
