P&G Buys Thorne for $3.8 Billion in Bid to Boost Healthcare Growth
The Procter & Gamble Company (PG) agreed to buy Thorne, a science-backed supplements brand, for $3.8 billion in cash on August 4.
The deal is part of P&G's strategy to accelerate growth in its healthcare unit, which has been lagging behind other segments.
Thorne generated over $500 million in revenue in 2025 and is projected to reach around $650 million in 2026, with the majority of sales coming from shoppers under 40, a demographic P&G has struggled to reach through its legacy brands.
P&G's CEO Shailesh Jejurikar framed the deal as an opportunity to capture demand for premium wellness products and complement its existing portfolio.
