P&G Hygiene Profit Soars 35% on Revenue Growth, Zero Emissions Goal
Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care reported a net profit of ₹857 crore for FY26, marking a 35% increase from the previous year. Revenue growth played a significant role in this improvement, with revenue rising to ₹4,290 crore from ₹3,374 crore in the prior year.
The company's net profit margin expanded to approximately 20%, up from 19% in FY25. Profit before tax stood at ₹1,167 crore compared to ₹862 crore in the previous period. Earnings per share increased to ₹264 from ₹196 in FY25.
Notably, the company achieved nil market-based Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions for FY26, indicating full offsetting or renewable energy procurement for indirect electricity use. The company's reliance on Renewable Energy Certificates to achieve this goal may impact its long-term carbon reduction strategy versus direct renewable infrastructure investment.
