P&G India Denies Delisting Rumors Despite 5% Sales Decline
Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Limited has denied rumors of potential delisting or winding up its operations in India. The company posted standalone sales of ₹901 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026, marking a 5% decline compared to the previous year.
The Profit After Tax (PAT) for the same period stood at ₹126 crore, reflecting the impact of commodity price volatility driven by geopolitical factors. Despite this, the company's annual PAT for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, expanded 19% YoY to ₹850 crore on flat sales of ₹4,300 crore.
Leadership continuity remains secure after shareholders approved the appointment of Ms. Srividya Srinivasan as a Whole-time Director for a five-year tenure. The company continues to distribute healthy shareholder returns, with a final dividend payout of ₹60.00 per share on September 1, 2026.
The refutation of exit rumors aligns with the company's strong operational footprint in India and its dominant market positions in defensive categories like feminine hygiene (Whisper) and healthcare (Vicks).
