Padres Affiliates Split on Tuesday in Playoff Action

The San Diego Padres' affiliates went 1-2 on Tuesday in playoff action. The El Paso Chihuahuas lost 8-7 to Tacoma, while the San Antonio Missions fell 7-6 to Amarillo.

In a losing effort for El Paso, JP Sears pitched four innings of one-hit baseball, striking out five batters and walking just one. Despite this impressive performance, Ty Adcock allowed two runs in relief, and Hans Crouse walked four batters in the sixth inning. The game ultimately came down to Brent Honeywell's ninth-inning appearance, where Patrick Wisdom hit a walk-off slam.

The Missions also struggled, as Victor Lizarraga allowed three home runs over five innings. However, Tirso Ornelas and Luis Verdugo each homered for San Antonio in their 6-7 loss to Amarillo.
