PAL Orders Up to 20 Boeing 787 Jets for Fleet Expansion

Philippine Airlines has signed an agreement to purchase up to 20 Boeing 787 Dreamliner jets, marking its largest widebody order in history. The airline will take delivery of 15 firm orders for the 787-10 variant, with an option to acquire five additional aircraft.

The new planes are expected to strengthen Philippine Airlines' medium and long-haul fleet, improve operational efficiency, support sustainability goals, and enhance the travel experience for customers.

Lucio C. Tan III, president and chief operating officer of PAL Holdings, Inc., stated that the Boeing 787-10 will provide greater flexibility in the airline's route network.
