PAL to Order 20 Wide-Body Aircraft from Both Boeing and Airbus

Philippine Airlines is finalizing an order for around 20 wide-body aircraft, evenly split between ten Boeing 787 Dreamliners and ten Airbus A350s.

The airline will make the announcement official at the Farnborough International Airshow on July 20, 2026. If confirmed, it would be the first order of Boeing for PAL in nearly twenty years.

By ordering from both manufacturers, PAL aims to diversify its risk and gain more leverage in negotiations with the companies. This strategy allows the airline to choose aircraft that best fit each route's needs.
