Palo Alto Stock Jumps on Nvidia Partnership with AI Agent Safety Platform
Palo Alto Networks' stock price rose nearly 5% on September 28 following Nvidia's launch of an AI agent safety platform, Open Agent Safety Platform. The platform consists of two parts: OpenShell and Sentry. Palo Alto chose to build on it, announcing that its Prisma AIRS AI Runtime firewall already runs natively on BlueField.
The company plans to extend its gateway and agent-identity tools to Nvidia's stack, linking Idira, the renamed CyberArk identity business, to OpenShell. However, there is a risk that AI data-center builders may keep agent enforcement inside Nvidia's own stack, which Palo Alto CEO Nikesh Arora described as a single-tenant gap.
The TIKR model's mid-case points to around $546 by July 31, 2031, about 39% above the current price of $392.09. The model assumes revenue grows around 12% a year, net income margin reaches around 27%, and the P/E contracts about 2% a year.
