PANW Surges to Record High Amid AI Safety Concerns
Palo Alto Networks Inc.'s (PANW) shares surged nearly 3% to hit a record high of $399.03 on Wednesday.
The gains come as debate around artificial intelligence (AI) safety has intensified, with cybersecurity companies viewed as beneficiaries of growing security needs.
Nvidia's launch of its Open Agent Safety Platform, an open-source framework for securing autonomous AI agents from testing through deployment, added to the focus on cybersecurity. Palo Alto and CrowdStrike are among more than 100 organizations working with Nvidia on this initiative.
Morgan Stanley analyst Meta Marshall raised Palo Alto's price target to $410 from $394 while maintaining an 'Overweight' rating, citing increased cybersecurity spending as a key factor in the company's growth.
