PayPal Shares Rise on Meta Partnership and Other New Deals
PayPal's stock price jumped after the company announced two significant partnerships: one with Meta and another with Muse. The deals aim to make PayPal a default payment option on Facebook, Instagram, and potentially other platforms.
The Meta partnership allows for one-tap checkout inside the Facebook feed, which is expected to extend to Instagram eventually. This integration could give PayPal a boost in the social commerce space, where it already has partnerships with Google, OpenAI, and Perplexity.
In its Q2 2026 earnings report, PayPal delivered non-GAAP EPS of $1.38 on revenue of $8.68B, which is a 4.75% year-over-year increase. The company also raised full-year non-GAAP EPS guidance to approximately $5.38.
The bull case for PayPal's stock relies on three key points: checkout distribution, Venmo monetization, and capital return. If branded checkout growth accelerates, Venmo continues to compound its revenue, and the float shrinks further, PayPal's stock could see significant upside.
