Pelosi and Ackman Bet on Uber and Amazon Amid Tech Rotation
Nancy Pelosi and Bill Ackman are both backing two tech giants in their portfolios.
Pelosi's spouse bought 200 call options on Uber (NYSE:UBER) with a $50 strike price expiring March 19, 2027. Meanwhile, Bill Ackman's Pershing Square holds a significant stake in the same company, owning 34.3 million shares worth approximately $2.48 billion.
Ackman's position in Uber grew by 15% during the second quarter, adding to his initial investment in early 2025.
Pelosi also owns call options for Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), as part of a broader rotation into 2027-dated call options on several big tech names. Pershing Square owns Amazon too, with 8.56 million shares worth around $2.04 billion.
