Pershing Square Adds Netflix, Visa, Mastercard to Portfolio Amid Market Volatility
Pershing Square Capital Management, led by billionaire investor Bill Ackman, has made significant additions to its portfolio. The firm's most recent 13-F disclosure reveals that it now holds Netflix, Visa, and Mastercard.
The acquisition of these three stocks brings the total holdings to 14. Notably, Netflix has seen a decline in stock price by approximately 32% over the past year, with its current P/E ratio at 26 compared to its historical five-year average of 36.
Pershing Square's investment philosophy focuses on identifying undervalued companies and maintaining extended holding periods. The fund has achieved remarkable cumulative net returns totaling $2,644%, translating to approximately 16% in annualized gains since its inception in 2004.
The firm holds significant positions in Uber ($2.5 billion), Microsoft ($2.3 billion), and Amazon ($2.0 billion). Among the new additions, Netflix represents a $934 million position, while both Visa and Mastercard each account for roughly $1.1 billion in market value.
