Amex Elevates Referral Bonuses to $175K

Some American Express cardholders are seeing elevated referral bonuses on their existing cards. For those with the Platinum or Gold card, the rewards can reach up to 45,000 points per eligible referral. This is a significant increase from the usual range of 10,000 to 15,000 points or miles.

According to Amex's referral page, referred friends can choose another eligible Amex card through the referral link while the referring card member still earns the referral bonus associated with their own card. However, there is no guarantee how long these elevated offers will be available.

To check your offer and generate a referral link, log into your American Express account, navigate to the relevant card, and look for either the Refer a Friend section or the 'Refer a Friend. Earn Rewards' link at the right-hand side of the page. For those eligible, it's recommended to share these links now before they expire.
