A person died overnight at an Amazon warehouse in Colorado Springs, with police ruling out any suspicious circumstances. Officers responded to a report of a dead body at the facility on Integration Loop around 10:44 p.m. on Friday night. Despite attempts to revive the individual, efforts were unsuccessful. Police believe the death may have been caused by cardiac arrest, though this has not been officially confirmed.

This incident marks the second death at a Colorado Springs Amazon facility in recent years. In December 2022, 61-year-old Rick Jacobs died after suffering a cardiac event at Amazon's DEN4 warehouse. Police and Amazon both stated that the earlier death was not work-related. The company noted that Jacobs had experienced a heart attack just minutes before his shift ended, with coworkers administering first aid.

Amazon's Colorado Springs operations have also faced scrutiny from federal workplace safety regulators. In August 2022, OSHA proposed a $15,625 penalty for alleged unsafe conditions at a separate Amazon delivery station. The inspection followed an employee complaint about musculoskeletal disorders and blocked fire exits. This was one of several regulatory actions against Amazon's warehouse network that year.

No further details have been released about the person who died at the Integration Loop warehouse, and police have not identified them. The investigation into the circumstances remains ongoing with Colorado Springs police.
