As of 1:40 p.m. on September 22, guests arriving at Fantasyland found a surprise activity set up outside the attraction: hopscotch. Disney cast members sometimes introduce small activities or entertainment when attractions experience downtime to keep guests occupied and make closures less frustrating for families with younger children.

The extended closure of Peter Pan's Flight has raised questions about how long it will be closed, as Disney still lists the ride as an operating attraction on its official website. The company hasn't announced a refurbishment or permanent closure, but hasn't provided a reopening time either.
