PG Stock Surges on $3.8 Billion Thorne Acquisition
Procter & Gamble (PG) stock surged on Tuesday after the company announced its plan to acquire Thorne, a supplement maker, for $3.8 billion.
The acquisition is aimed at expanding Procter & Gamble's health and wellness operations, which already include supplements and other healthy living products.
Procter & Gamble CEO Shailesh Jejurikar described Thorne as 'a really well-run operation' and expressed satisfaction with the asset itself.
