Pichai Intervenes After Public Appeal Ends Weeklong App Review Delay for OpenClaw
Google's app review process for OpenClaw's Android application faced a weeklong delay, which ended abruptly after its creator, Peter Steinberger, made a public appeal on X that drew a direct response from Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL) CEO Sundar Pichai.
The exchange began when Steinberger posted on X asking if anyone in his network had a contact at Google who could help move the app through review. He wrote, 'Do I know anyone at Google who could help? We're now over a week in review limbo for OpenClaw's Android app.'
Pichai replied within the thread with a short message: 'Ack, will follow up.' The response quickly circulated across the platform, accumulating roughly 2.1 million views and 10,000 likes.
Steinberger confirmed shortly afterward that the update had gone live. 'And the new update is live - thanks so much!' he wrote.
