Pine Labs Taps Industry Vet Jayaram Karthik as Chief Operations Officer

Pine Labs has appointed Jayaram Karthik as its new Chief Operations Officer. In this role, Karthik will oversee operations and merchant experiences across India and international markets.

Karthik brings over 25 years of experience in operations, risk, analytics, and technology from his time at companies such as American Express, Citibank, Amazon, Tata, and Razorpay.

According to Pine Labs' CEO B Amrish Rau, Karthik's expertise will help the company strengthen its operational capabilities for future growth. 'The future of fintech will be shaped not just by the products we build but by how effectively we bring together technology and operations to deliver high-quality customer experiences,' Rau said.

Karthik expressed his enthusiasm for the role, stating that he looks forward to helping scale the operational foundation that will enable Pine Labs to grow faster, standardize processes to serve customers better, and build lasting trust across markets.
