Pinterest appoints Amazon executive as new CFO
Pinterest Inc (NYSE: PINS) saw its stock dip nearly 2% in after-hours trading Monday following the announcement of James Dibbo as its new Chief Financial Officer. The appointment is set to take effect on October 26, 2026.
Dibbo brings extensive experience from Amazon, where he most recently served as Vice President and CFO for Global Entertainment, Advertising, and Corporate Development. His roles included overseeing finance for Amazon Ads, Prime Video, and Twitch, among other divisions.
Over his decade at Amazon, Dibbo also held positions as CFO of Worldwide Consumer and CFO of North America Consumer. Prior to Amazon, he served as CFO of P.F. Chang's and held senior finance roles at Tesco and BT Group.
Bill Ready, Pinterest's Chief Executive Officer, praised Dibbo as an exceptional finance leader with the strategic range and growth mindset to benefit Pinterest in its next phase. Dibbo will lead the company's global finance organization, succeeding Julia Brau Donnelly, who will step down on October 26, 2026, but remain in an advisory role through October 30, 2026.
