Pinterest Names Amazon Executive as CFO Shares Dip
Pinterest Inc. shares dropped nearly 2% in after-hours trading Monday following the announcement of James Dibbo as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer, effective October 26, 2026. Dibbo joins Pinterest from Amazon, where he most recently served as Vice President and CFO for Global Entertainment, Advertising, and Corporate Development. His responsibilities included overseeing finance for Amazon Ads, Prime Video, Amazon MGM Studios, and other key divisions.
During his decade-long tenure at Amazon, Dibbo held various senior roles, including CFO of Worldwide Consumer and CFO of North America Consumer. Prior to Amazon, he served as CFO of P.F. Chang’s and held senior finance positions at Tesco and BT Group. Bill Ready, Pinterest’s CEO, praised Dibbo as an exceptional finance leader with the strategic vision and growth mindset to guide Pinterest’s next phase.
Dibbo will succeed Julia Brau Donnelly, who will step down as CFO on October 26, 2026, but remain in an advisory role until October 30, 2026, to ensure a smooth transition. In his new role, Dibbo will oversee Pinterest’s global finance organization, including finance, accounting, investor relations, and corporate development. Dibbo holds a B.S. in Economics from Cardiff University and is a Chartered Accountant.
