Pinterest Stock Dips on Amazon Veteran CFO Appointment
Pinterest Inc. saw its stock dip nearly 2% in after-hours trading on Monday following the announcement of James Dibbo as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective October 26, 2026. Dibbo is joining Pinterest from Amazon, where he most recently served as Vice President and CFO for Global Entertainment, Advertising, and Corporate Development. His responsibilities at Amazon included overseeing finance for Amazon Ads, Prime Video, Amazon MGM Studios, Music, Audible, and Twitch.
Throughout his decade-long tenure at Amazon, Dibbo also held the roles of CFO for Worldwide Consumer and CFO of North America Consumer. Prior to Amazon, he served as CFO at P.F. Chang’s and held senior finance positions at Tesco and BT Group. Dibbo will oversee Pinterest’s global finance organization, including finance, accounting, FP&A, investor relations, treasury, tax, business and corporate development, internal audit, and workplace functions. He will succeed Julia Brau Donnelly, who will step down as CFO on October 26, 2026, but remain in an advisory role through October 30, 2026, to ensure a smooth transition.
Dibbo holds a B.S. in Economics from Cardiff University and is a Chartered Accountant. Pinterest operates as a visual search and shopping platform with 640 million monthly active users worldwide.
