Pixel 11 Brings Improved Cameras but Few Surprises
The Google Pixel 11 is out, and it's an iterative upgrade from last year's model. While it has some new features, such as a larger main camera sensor and improved storage, it doesn't bring much to the table for those who already have a recent flagship.
One of the standout features of the Pixel 11 is its camera system. It now supports up to 30x 'Super Zoom' mode, which uses AI upscaling to fill in details. While the results are decent enough, they don't hold up well under close scrutiny.
The phone also has a range of new software features, including Camera Looks and Magic Capture. Camera Looks allows users to edit and save custom filters for their camera app, while Magic Capture automatically captures multiple photos and videos with edits applied. However, the results can be slow to process, taking several seconds to render.
The Pixel 11 also has some new AI-powered features, including Rambler, a voice-to-text tool that allows users to speak naturally without needing precise language. Proactive Intelligence is another new feature that uses AI to predict and assist with tasks.
