Pixel 11 Graphics Issue Prevents Smooth Genshin Impact Gameplay

The new Pixel 11 series has been plagued by a graphics issue that prevents users from playing Genshin Impact smoothly. Owners of the flagship devices have reported severe graphical problems, including a purple screen, which makes the game unplayable.

This is not the first time Google's PowerVR GPU has caused issues with demanding games. The Tensor G6 processor used in the Pixel 11 series pairs its CPU and AI hardware with a PowerVR GPU, which may be at fault here.

Genshin Impact's developer, HoYoverse, told one user that the game's minimum requirements are not met by PowerVR GPUs, which is 'quite devastating' for those who spent over $1,000 on their device. However, Google attributes the issue to an optimization problem and claims it is working with HoYoverse to release a fix in an upcoming update.
