Pixel 11 Pro: Google's Latest Flagship Packs Improved Software and Hardware

The Pixel 11 Pro is here, and it's an upgrade from last year's model. After spending time with both phones, I can confidently say that this is a bigger improvement than expected.

One of the key features of the new phone is its software. Google has stuck with 7 years of security and OS updates, which means you'll be able to use this phone until 2033 and still get updates. The Pixel 11 Pro runs on Android 17 out of the box, but it's a newer build than what the Pixel 10 Pro currently uses.

The new software also brings some cool tricks like Rambler, which is voice-to-text that can handle long conversations without adding unnecessary information. You can also create custom widgets and more features powered by Gemini.

The HiLight light on the back of the phone is a return to the LED notification light from over a decade ago, but it's limited to indicating when you're talking with Gemini or assigning colors to five favorite contacts for calls. More functionality is coming, but third-party apps won't get access to HiLight.

The hardware has also seen some changes, mostly in the camera and battery department. The battery has dropped from 4,870mAh to 4,850mAh, a small decrease of 0.4%. However, with the new Tensor G6 processor, you'll see similar or better battery life.
