Pixel 11 Pro's AI Features Have Magid Considering a Switch

Larry Magid, a tech journalist and internet safety activist, has been testing Google's latest offering, the Pixel 11 Pro. The high-end flagship of the Pixel line comes in two sizes: a 6.3-inch model starting at $1,099 and the 6.8-inch Pro XL starting at $1,299.

Magid was reminded why he loved Google phones during his testing period. He praises the phone's uncluttered operating system, which provides immediate access to updates, and its avoidance of bloatware found on other Android devices.

Magid switched to an iPhone last year for professional reasons but is now considering switching back after using the Pixel 11 Pro. The phone boasts a new feature called Rambler, which greatly improves speech-to-text capabilities.

Rambler stores what you say as you're speaking and displays it when finished. This allows for accurate dictation and integration with apps like Google Docs. Magid finds the on-screen keyboard to be slightly larger than its iPhone counterpart, making typing easier and reducing mistakes.
