Pixel Campaign Puts Composure Center Stage with Jamal Musiala
Google's latest campaign for its Pixel phone features FC Bayern München midfielder Jamal Musiala in a surreal set that blends elements of a Zen garden, football pitch, and fashion editorial.
The 'Garden Theory' ad centers on the idea that composure is now a competitive edge both on and off the pitch. Musiala's own words drive the concept: 'When I need some peace and quiet, I like to spend time outside in nature or in the garden. It helps me clear my head and recharge, and that's exactly what helps me on the pitch, too.'
Janosch Eink, Google's head of culture marketing, praises Musiala's talent and character: 'His incredible poise and control make all the difference even in key moments.'
The new campaign is a natural fit for the Pixel phone, which is designed to minimize distractions and help users stay focused on the moment. The phone's HiLight feature, which lights up the LED for a chosen contact, is highlighted as a tool that keeps Musiala clear-headed in a noisy digital world.
