The feature to copy data from iPhone to Android has made a comeback on Google Pixel devices. The 'Copy data' option, along with the eSIM transfer feature, is now available in the 'Pair iPhone or iPad' settings of the next-generation Android OS, 'Android 17.'

This feature was initially introduced around September 2025 but was quietly removed shortly after. However, it has been reinstated on Google Pixel devices running 'Android 17,' which was announced alongside Galaxy Unpacked in July 2026.

The 'Copy data' feature is part of the new native migration feature from iPhone to Android introduced in 'Android 17.' This feature allows users to wirelessly transfer a variety of data, including Google Account credentials, passwords, Wi-Fi credentials, and eSIM profiles. The rollout of this feature has begun on non-Samsung Android devices, including Google Pixel devices.
