Pixel Phone Battery Summaries Fall Short of User Expectations

Google's new battery summaries for Pixel phones are not as revolutionary as expected. Android Authority writer Stephen Radochia put them to the test, using his Pixel 11 Pro XL for a week.

The feature provides some useful information, such as which apps drain the most power and whether usage has been particularly aggressive for that time of day. However, it lacks depth and fails to provide actionable data.

Radochia argues that Google needs to take this feature further by providing a more complete overview of device health, including background functions and cellular connectivity strength. He also suggests making the summaries predictive, warning users when they're approaching battery depletion based on their usage patterns.
