Pixel Phone Users Hit with Tap-to-Pay Issues in Google Wallet
Users of Pixel phones have been experiencing issues with tap-to-pay functionality in Google Wallet over the past few weeks. The problem occurs intermittently, and users may not realize it's not working until they need to use the feature. This can cause inconvenience and disruption to daily activities.
The issue is thought to be related to the device rather than the Google Wallet app itself. Some Pixel phones, including those from the 9 series onwards, have a repositioned NFC antenna, which may be contributing to the problem.
Users who are experiencing issues can try restarting their phone, closing and reopening the Wallet app, clearing the cache, or using their smartwatch as an alternative payment method. These temporary fixes may resolve the issue until a permanent solution is found.
