Google has rolled out its September Pixel Drop update to recent Pixel phones, bringing significant upgrades and new features. The update extends the Pause Point feature beyond the Pixel 11 series, allowing users to set app time limits and receive prompts suggesting alternative activities to reduce mindless scrolling.

The Scam Detection feature is also being expanded to nine new countries, including the UK, with Gboard flagging suspected scams directly during message replies. This feature has been exclusive to the US until now.

Other notable features include a redesigned VIPs widget, which allows users to access their favorite contacts directly from the home screen with a single tap. The update also includes bug fixes and security upgrades.
