Plaintiffs push for final approval of $56 million Google and Flo Health settlement
Plaintiffs have filed a reply in support of a US federal judge granting final approval to a $56 million settlement with Google and Flo Health. The settlement aims to resolve privacy allegations related to Flo Health’s alleged illegal sharing of users’ reproductive health data.
The plaintiffs argued that due process does not entitle Meta Platforms to delay the entry of judgment. They emphasized that the amount owed to the 222,115 settling class members is a “self-evident” $1.110 billion.
The case highlights ongoing concerns over data privacy and the responsibilities of tech companies in safeguarding user information. The plaintiffs’ response comes as they seek to finalize the settlement, countering opposition from Meta Platforms.
