PLDT and Smart Tap Microsoft AI for Workplace Automation
PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications have partnered with Microsoft to expand the use of artificial intelligence across their workforce and operations.
The partnership builds on the PLDT Group's acquisition of 1,000 Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses. The companies said the AI assistant is being integrated into daily tasks such as drafting communications, summarizing meetings, analyzing information and supporting internal decision-making.
'Our partnership with Microsoft allows us to accelerate this transformation at scale, embedding AI into everyday processes and building new capabilities across the organization,' said Gilbert Gaw, first vice president and head of information technology and the Transformation Office at PLDT and Smart.
