Pleasant Ridge Man Leaves Lasting Legacy Through Love and Generosity
Barry W. McMinn, a man known for his kind and loving nature, passed away on August 31, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on March 18, 1952, Barry was a graduate of Berkley High School in 1970 and later attended Western Michigan University. It was during his time at college that he met his wife, Anne, with whom he shared 43 years of marriage.
Barry's career spanned over two decades, including working at Home Depot for more than 20 years. He was known for his steady presence and hardworking spirit. In his free time, Barry enjoyed simple pleasures such as golf, bowling, reading the newspaper, and solving math and logic puzzle books.
Barry's family was his proudest accomplishment, with children Dan (Lauren Hagen) McMinn and Alyssa (George) Ristoski, as well as grandsons Logan and Owen. He is survived by his wife Anne, sisters Valerie Seccombe and Ellen (John) Miriani, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
