Poland Builds Europe's Largest Apache Support Centre

Poland has announced plans to build Europe's largest Apache support infrastructure, a service centre capable of maintaining at least 96 aircraft, inside the country. The project is part of a larger offset agreement between Boeing and two Polish state defence companies, WZL-1 and WCBKT. These agreements were signed on August 11, 2026.

According to the agreements, Boeing will provide organisational and intermediate-level inspections and repairs, as well as selected depot-level component repair. Additionally, Polish-built ground support equipment for the AH-64E Apache will be evaluated for use with the aircraft. The project is expected to begin in 2028 and will not only enhance Poland's operational capabilities but also strengthen its sovereign defence capabilities.

The Eastern Flank gets a centre of gravity as Poland hosts Multinational Corps Northeast, Multinational Division Northeast, and now 96 AH-64Es with the continent's largest Apache support base. The AH-64E is currently the production standard for attack helicopters, featuring uprated engines, composite main rotor blades, Longbow fire-control radar, Link 16, an open systems architecture, and Level 4 manned-unmanned teaming.
