Poland Builds Europe's Largest Apache Support Infrastructure with Boeing

Poland has taken a significant step in bolstering its defense capabilities by signing two offset agreements with Boeing to establish Europe's largest Apache support infrastructure. The agreements, signed on August 11, 2026, at the WZL-1 plant in Łódź, will enable Poland to maintain at least 96 AH-64E Apache Guardians.

The move is seen as a strategic one, allowing Poland to reduce its dependency on overseas depot chains during times of crisis. Combat aircraft are limited not by their numbers but by the efficiency of their maintenance systems, and this new infrastructure will enable Poland to quickly inspect and repair its Apache fleet.

Poland has already ordered 96 AH-64E Apache Guardians, which will make it the second-largest Apache fleet in the world after the United States Army. The $10 billion order is expected to begin in 2028, with Boeing evaluating Polish-built ground support equipment for use with the AH-64E.
