Policybazaar-Backed PB Health Sets Sights on 500-Hospital Network
Policybazaar-backed PB Health is ramping up its hospital network with plans to invest Rs.10,000 crore over the next few years. The company aims to build a 500-hospital network across 50 cities in India.
The venture, launched in 2025, wants to shift away from corporate hospital models that focus on providing services for a fee and instead prioritize preventive care. PB Health has already raised Rs.1,900 crore in a seed round led by General Catalyst.
The company's chairman and group CEO Yashish Dahiya said the business will be financed with equity and around Rs.4,000 crore debt. He pointed to global examples such as Kaiser Permanente and UnitedHealth-Optum, which have successfully integrated payor-led healthcare services.
