Polymarket Suffers Regulatory Setback Amid JPMorgan Banking Split
Polymarket, a crypto prediction market platform, severed ties with JPMorgan in October 2025 due to regulatory concerns. The bank had asked Polymarket to find another banking partner, which it did.
Despite the split, Polymarket maintains an active partnership with JPMorgan, encompassing various entities, operational integrations, and fund flows with customers. The bank has continued to be interested in the growth of Polymarket, even inviting its CEO to a private banking conference in Miami.
Polymarket is currently valued at over $20 billion and is seeking to raise around $1 billion through funding. This comes as the platform expands beyond its crypto-native user base by building infrastructure for regulated US prediction markets.
