Polynesian Village Resort Undergoes Changes with Island Tower Renovation
The Polynesian Village Resort at Walt Disney World is undergoing changes as part of its ongoing redevelopment. The Island Tower, which opened in December 2024, is now under construction, with general contractor Faden Builders listed on a Notice of Commencement filed with local authorities.
The tower's design incorporates traditional wayfinding elements, such as a manta ray exterior and ceiling art installation in the lobby. It added new room types to the Disney Vacation Club lineup, including Duo Studios and Two-Bedroom Penthouse Villas.
Wailulu Bar & Grill offers poolside dining with views of Cinderella Castle, while younger guests can enjoy the Moana's Voyage Splash Area interactive water play zone.
