Portnox Bolsters AI Agent Security with Microsoft Defender Integration
Portnox, a cloud-native access control company, has expanded its capabilities to govern artificial intelligence agents and other non-human identities that log in to corporate networks. The new integration with Microsoft Defender allows for real-time policy enforcement, cutting off suspicious activity before it causes harm.
The Portnox platform can now trigger an access decision based on signals from multiple sources, including CrowdStrike and SentinelOne. If a threat is detected or a device slips out of compliance, the policy engine can restrict access to sensitive data or quarantine the identity.
According to Denny LeCompte, CEO of Portnox, 'AI agents are becoming active participants in the enterprise, but many organizations are still relying on access models built for human users.' He emphasizes the importance of continuous verification and governance to prevent security incidents.
